[ When Sypha approaches, he lifts his head up to look to her and, shifting around a bit within the blanket draped around him, he pulls out a small brown teddy bear with a bow around its neck, holding it out for her. ]

I... got this for you. Earlier.

You...what?

[This, maybe, is the last thing she expected. She still reaches out and takes it, but the confusion in her voice is obvious.]

...why?

[ He also gave Alucard a white wolf with gold eyes carved out of marble and the blond's reaction was more or less the same as Sypha's. He's... really not all that great at this, is he? ]

Just... felt like it? I saw it and it made me think of you.

[ With a hand coming to rub against the side of his neck, he looks to Sypha then. ]

Is it stupid?

Stupid?

[She shakes her head, holding the toy to her chest.]

Not at all. It's...actually unexpectedly sweet.

[Leaning over, she darts in for a kiss. On the cheek.]

Thank you, Trevor. Unexpected doesn't mean I don't like it.

[ The kiss to his cheek gets him to smile and he finds his head rolling to rest against hers, shifting some on the floor. Still wrapped in his blanket. ]

Tell me the truth... I look like shit, right?

You look like shit.

[she sniffs, wrinkles her nose...]

But you don't smell like it for once.

[You walked into this one.]

You're so funny.

[ And he means that with much sarcasm in his tone. But, he chuckles a bit before he lays his head against her shoulder. ]

Do you want to lay down with me? Not here, but... in a bed.

Uh.

[She...is momentarily taken aback by the statement.]

...Is that you, propositioning me?

To... just lay down.

[ Is he coming off weird?? ]

I'm tired.

...You are so bad at phrasing sometimes, Belmont.

[She sighs, but climbs to her feet, holding out a hand.]

Sure. Let's lie down.

[ With a grumble, he takes hold of her hand and does his best to pull himself up, wobbling a bit but, hey, he doesn't fall at least?? Point for him. ]

Just, you know... nice to have company and all.

[He's so strong.

She'll just open the door and wave him in. Her room is...perhaps predictably...a bed surrounded by piles of books.]

Sure, yeah. Are you okay? Like, really okay. This is odd even for you.

[ The bed is exactly where he goes, doing his best to not knock over any books that are stacked around it before he can just drop himself down onto her bed, a sigh leaving his lips as he does so.

He... should just say it to her, shouldn't he? ]

I'm dying.

[ He breathes that out, smiling a bit before he lets that frown touch his lips. ]

It'll be soon.

Ah.

[That cuts through a lot of her usual quippy responses. She's emotionally intelligent enough to know better.

So, she weaves her way through the books and takes a seat next to him, putting an arm around his waist.]

We'll be here when you get back up. You...will get back up. I know that.

I just...

[ He hums a bit, finding himself to lean then against Sypha. To let her warmth gently touch his cold, to remind him that he's still alive for now. She's... always been good at that. At reminding him that he's still here. That someone is here with him. ]

...what if I'm different after it all? What if... you don't like me anymore?

That's stupid.

[Sypha gives him a sharp-ish look, a serious one.]

Trevor, I like Alucard and he's a vampire. And I like you even if you're a rude asshole sometimes.

After everything we've been through, nothing is going to change that.

Alucard's not a vampire here. That's me.

[ Just going to politely correct her there. But... hearing what she says is... nice. Really. So much, in fact, that he lets his head rest against hers. ]

But... thanks. I guess. Not for calling me an asshole but, you know.

[ Everything else. ]

He was raised as one.

[She politely and promptly leans against him, resting her hand on his hip and letting out a little sigh.]

I'll be here for you, Trevor. I promised you that a while ago, and I stand by that. It will be alright. I'll make sure that...ice box...contraption is full of blood.

[ That gets him to smile a bit. ]

Stuff is weird here, isn't it?

[ But, as she leans against him, he gently comes to set his hand over hers, quietly letting fingers lace together. ]

Guess I'm stuck with you then. [ He murmurs softly, smiling as he says it. ] Can't say I really mind.

Of course.

[She links her fingers tightly to his, squeezing gently.]

You're like a barnacle. And you're my barnacle, so I'm not going to let you go anywhere.

[It's a compliment, promise.]

You'll come through this just fine.

[ The squeeze to his fingers gets him to look a little more properly at her and, while silent, he... knows. Knows that she means it. That she'll be there for him. No matter what.

He smiles, hand still holding hers and hums a bit then before he drops his head, just enough to have it loll close to her. ]

Would I... be overstepping my boundaries if I wanted to kiss you?

[She almost laughs. Almost.]

Not at all. But it would be overstepping if you didn't ask me before you did it.

[She's...mostly teasing. Mostly.

She'd like to kiss him, but she would definitely like some warning.]

Better safe than sorry with you.

[ He teases her as a finger weakly curls a strand of her hair around it, before he lets that same finger drop to caress the apple of her cheek. Soft. Tender. A gentle smile touching at his lips before he lets himself lean in and brushes his lips over hers for a kiss which is just as soft as the touch he gives her. ]

[He's learning. Good boy.

Sypha leans into his touch, not hesitant about this in the slightest. Kissing is still a new-ish experience for her, but she likes to think she's getting pretty comfortable with it.

Her return kiss is gentle, tender, and sweet, her lips moving to meet his. Her eyes flutter closed, her hands reach up to cup his cheeks, and she smiles when she pulls away.]

You're getting pretty good at that.

[ Blindly, he almost chases after her when her lips slip away from his but he comes to slowly let blue eyes lazily open as he stares to her in a sort of daze. Are her kisses just that good to him? Maybe. But her words have him blinking a little in confusion and he pulls back some to look at her a little... better. ]

Kissing you? Or kissing in general?

[ Yes, there's a difference here. ]
